From your first design consultation through installation and warranty coverage, here are answers to the questions homeowners ask us most about working with Florida Closets Company.

GETTING STARTED

How do I get started?

Contact Florida Closets Company and tell us a little about the space you want to improve. For custom closet and garage cabinetry projects, we’ll measure your space, learn what you need to store, and create a design around how you actually use it.

Is the design consultation really free?

Yes. Our design consultation is free and there is no obligation to buy. You can review your design, make changes, and see the price before approving your project.

Do I need to visit the Lecanto showroom?

No. We can come to your home to measure and discuss your project.

You’re also welcome to visit our Lecanto showroom to see materials, finishes, hardware, closet systems, and garage storage options in person.

DESIGN, PRICING & INSTALLATION

How much will my project cost?

Every project is different. Pricing depends on the size and layout of your space, materials, finishes, drawers, accessories, lighting, and other features you choose.

Once your design is complete, we’ll show you the full project price before anything is ordered.

Can I make changes to my design?

Absolutely. We can adjust the layout, materials, finishes, features, and accessories with you before you approve the project.

The goal is for you to know exactly what you’re getting and what it will cost before we build it.

What deposit do you require?

A 50% deposit is due when you approve your design and price. The remaining balance is due upon completion of your installation.

How long does the process take?

Most projects are completed within 15 business days after we receive your deposit. We’ll confirm your installation schedule when your project is approved.

What if I’m traveling when my project is ready?

No problem. We can store your completed system at our Lecanto showroom until you’re ready for installation.

What types of closet systems do you offer?

We design and install:

  • Custom walk-in closets

  • Custom reach-in closets

  • Hanging and shelving systems

  • Drawers and shoe storage

  • Specialty organizers and accessories

Every system is designed around your space, your belongings, and the way you use them.

Are soft-close doors and drawers standard?

Yes. Soft-close hardware is standard on our custom closet, pantry, and cabinet systems.

What materials do you offer?

Depending on the project and the look you want, we can work with melamine / TFL, LDF, MDF, HDF, plywood, and solid wood.

We’ll help you choose the material that makes sense for your style, durability needs, and budget.

Can I add premium features?

Yes. Depending on your design, options can include:

  • LED strip and puck lighting

  • Glass shelving

  • Glass cabinet doors

  • Mirrors

  • Valet rods

  • Tie and belt organizers

  • Handbag and accessory storage

  • Solid-wood dovetail drawer boxes

  • Additional specialty accessories
     

GARAGE STORAGE

What garage storage solutions do you offer?

We offer:

  • Custom garage cabinets

  • Elevated garage cabinets with mobile workbenches

  • Aluminum garage slatwall

  • PVC garage slatwall

We can use one system or combine several into a coordinated garage storage solution.

What is your elevated garage cabinet system?

Our proprietary elevated garage storage solution combines cabinetry raised above the floor with mobile workbenches underneath.

The open floor makes the garage easier to sweep, wash, inspect, and maintain, while giving you flexible workspace that can move where you need it.

For Florida homeowners, it also means fewer difficult-to-reach areas around the cabinetry where spiders, lizards, snakes, dirt, and debris can go unnoticed.

What is the difference between aluminum and PVC slatwall?

Aluminum slatwall is our premium option, with a clean, architectural appearance that works especially well in high-end garage designs.

PVC slatwall is moisture resistant, easy to clean, and provides flexible storage for tools, bikes, sports equipment, yard tools, and everyday garage items.

We can help you decide which system makes the most sense for your garage, storage needs, and budget.

Can I combine cabinets and slatwall?

Yes. In many garages, the best solution combines enclosed cabinet storage with accessible wall storage.

We can coordinate cabinets, work areas, slatwall, and accessories so the finished garage looks intentionally designed rather than pieced together.

WARRANTY

Do your systems come with a warranty?

Yes. Our standard warranty coverage includes:

10-Year Limited Warranty on Wood Products
1-Year Limited Warranty on Components
1-Year Florida Closets Company Labor & Workmanship Warranty

If a manufacturer provides longer applicable warranty coverage, we pass that extended coverage along to you.

What does your workmanship warranty cover?

Florida Closets Company provides a 1-year labor and workmanship warranty covering qualifying installation-related issues beginning when your installation is completed.

What areas do you serve?

We primarily serve homeowners throughout Citrus County and surrounding areas, including:

Terra Vista • Lecanto • Citrus Hills • Black Diamond • Inverness • Crystal River • Homosassa • Dunnellon

We also serve select nearby areas of Marion County from our Lecanto showroom.
